I am always drawn to the stories left untold, where I create experiences that explore identities, belonging, and the complexities of human experience through a lens of empathy and curiosity. I believe that art has a certain impact on the audie, and I aim to amplify my passion in film to emanate powerful messages to the broader community in College.
2026
I directed Out-Casted, a documentary examining Asian American representation in the American entertainment industry through interviews with two professional Hollywood actors. Over ten months of production, I led a collaborative crew to explore the stereotypes, struggles, and overlooked experiences behind the screen, giving space to voices and perspectives rarely heard.
2024
I directed and starred in That Was Me, a short film exploring cultural assimilation, identity, and the pressure to conform to others' expectations. Leading a ten-person crew, I brought a deeply personal story about growing up Asian American to the screen
2023
My film jourrney began in middle school, and I have been avid in using film as a language to express feelings and emotions ever since.
Vertexa Film Club
I founded and led a 24-member filmmaking club in 2023, coordinating student production crews, overseeing short-film projects, and mentoring aspiring filmmakers through the creative and technical aspects of production.
